About Dr Mooney
Dr. Cassandra Mooney is a board-certified family physician with a deep commitment to providing comprehensive, community-centered care in northern Canada. Born and raised in South Africa, she moved to Yellowknife as a teenager and has proudly called the North home ever since. Dr. Mooney earned her medical degree and went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. ​Dr. Mooney currently works as a family physician with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority. She also serves as a Civil Aviation Medical Examiner and Medical Director for the City of Yellowknife Fire Department. Dr. Mooney is committed to delivering accessible, high-quality care to patients across the North—on the ground and in the air.
